Career Profile
I started as a Front-End Web Developer in 2011, however I soon discovered that my passion lay instead in project and client account management. I subsequently held a number of roles that has provided me with extensive experience and a strong understanding of the complete web project lifecycle. In 2018, I was promoted to Project Manager and I have adapted my development experience to lead and manage the development team and provide successful delivery of client projects.
My position as a Front-End Web Developer enabled me to collaborate with the development team on a variety of projects, ranging from large corporate websites to online shopping carts and websites for small business. I developed a high level of proficiency in HTML, CSS and jQuery enhancements and a proven ability to integrate these into Content Management Systems. I was (and still am) committed to continuously expanding my abilities and knowledge base, and this is evident in the instrumental role I played in implementing responsive web design functionalities in projects within my workplace when the practice and techniques first emerged, thus directly contributing to an improved standard of web design.
Through every stage of my career, my focus has always been to place great emphasis on attention to detail, adherence to web standards and cross browser compatibility. I believe that this is effectively achieved when code is written cleanly, with minimal repetition and with a focus on best development practices. As a project manager, I am keenly interested in using my knowledge and understanding of website systems to work collaboratively with businesses and organisations to produce high quality and visually engaging online systems.
